Logging out of Data as a Service (DaaS)
Note: This topic applies to users of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) user management system.
You can log out or exit from DaaS at any time. If you share your computer with other users, remember to log out when you finish using DaaS so other users can't see your information.
Note: If you have more than one DaaS user account, you must log out before you log in as a different user.
To log out
- To log out, on the tool bar in the upper right corner of each page, click the Systems Detail icon (
).
- Click Logout.
DaaS closes, and the IAM Login page appears.
Results of closing the browser window
If you are logged in to DaaS, and you click the Close button () instead of clicking Logout, depending on the browser you are using, one of the following actions occur:

Timeout period
Although clients can configure the timeout period for IAM as needed, the default is set at 15 minutes. The timeout session considers time in both IAM and DaaS before closing your session.
